Simulation of impulse current generator for testing surge arresters using frequency-dependent models

The object of research is the equivalent circuit an impulse current generator designed for testing surge arresters. Calculation parameters when discharging a capacitor bank to complex nonlinear load difficult task analytical solution. Until now, application arrester frequency-dependent models was limited problems overvoltage computation. Surge can predict residual voltage with high accuracy. This reason consider that be used calculating main generators physical arresters.
